STAR EVENTS | TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION
Registration for a webinar and subsequent participation is only possible subject to the terms and conditions set out here. By registering for the webinars, you expressly acknowledge these terms and conditions of participation. The organiser is STAR COOPERATION GmbH.
1. Eligibility
Participation in the webinars of STAR COOPERATION GmbH is governed by the applicable regulations and the following general terms and conditions of participation. Any amendments and/or addenda to these terms and conditions must be in writing. Any verbal agreements shall only be valid if they have been confirmed in writing by STAR COOPERATION GmbH. The same applies to this clause governing the written form.
2. Registration
Registration for a webinar is performed via the “Reserve your free place!” button on the respective sub-page for registration. Registration requires the following personal contact data to be entered as well as agreement to the terms and conditions of participation:

3. Surname
4. Email address
Further contact data may be supplied optionally. Participants must register for each webinar they would like to take part in.
If the data is already available from the registration process or participation in an earlier webinar, this will automatically be entered provided you have not deleted the cookies or cache. You are required to check that the information is correct each time you register. Following registration, you will be emailed a registration confirmation along with the link to join the webinar.
3. Technical requirements
To participate in the webinars of STAR COOPERATION GmbH, you need a stable internet connection and a connected end device (PC, laptop, tablet, smartphone) with the following equipment:
- Loudspeaker so that you can follow the instructor’s commentary.
- You can type any questions or comments into the chat during the webinar.
- Direct communication is only possible in exceptional cases.
We recommend a headset for this purpose to ensure adequate quality.
The webinars of STAR COOPERATION GmbH are hosted using Microsoft Teams.
Please update your browser or Microsoft Teams to the latest version to ensure that everything runs smoothly. Recommended browsers: latest version of Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, Safari or Firefox. The use of Internet Explorer 11 or older can cause difficulties.
Please update your operating system. Supported operating systems: Windows 7 and higher (32-bit and 64-bit), MacOS X 10.10 and higher. Supported mobile operating systems: Android 4.4 and higher, iOS 10 and higher. Linux is not supported. If you are unable to register successfully for the webinar, please copy the link and paste it into the address bar of a different browser (e.g. Chrome or Firefox). If you use a VPN client to access your company network, this could block the connection.
Please use a direct connection via your local network or WLAN instead. Accessing the webinar using a smartphone would be another possibility. Further information can be found on the official Microsoft help page.
The webinar software records the times between which you were logged on during the webinar if you are not participating anonymously. Further information can be found on the official Microsoft help page.
4. Joining the webinar
Following registration, you will be emailed a registration confirmation along with the link to join the webinar. This link, which enables access to the webinar, must not be passed to third parties or made publicly accessible. Third parties are generally deemed to include anyone who is not registered for the corresponding webinar or course and/or who has not paid in full for chargeable webinars.
5. Cancellation of webinars
We reserve the right to cancel live webinars at short notice in the event of insufficient numbers of participants, technical problems, unavailability of the instructor or for organisational reasons. Where relevant, the participants will be notified of potential alternative dates. This shall give rise to no further claims.
6. Changes to webinar duration
The specified durations of live webinars are approximate. Actual durations may be longer or shorter. STAR COOPERATION GmbH reserves the right to replace or omit individual presentations of a webinar, provided this has no impact on the overall character of the webinar. Similarly, the actual instructors may differ from the advertised teaching staff should the latter be prevented.
7. Cancellation of a registration
STAR COOPERATION GmbH is entitled to cancel the registration for a webinar.
8. Cancellation by participant
If you are unable to participate for unexpected reasons, a cancellation by you is helpful but not essential. You can submit your cancellation by responding to your confirmation email or by sending a new email to starevents(at)star-cooperation.com. Cancellations of chargeable webinars should be in writing and sent to the email address starevents(at)star-cooperation.com. The cancellation shall not incur any fees up to three days prior to the date of the webinar. The full webinar price shall be payable for any later cancellations or no-shows. No cancellation costs shall be charged if an alternative participant is substituted on the course. This provision shall apply irrespective of the reasons for the cancellation.
9. Data protection
Please read our Privacy Policy. By registering, you consent to the processing and use of the data disclosed by you in the course of this webinar.
10. Liability
STAR COOPERATION GmbH warrants that all services shall be properly performed with due care. However, it shall not be liable for specific qualifications being achieved as a result of participation in the webinar. STAR COOPERATION GmbH accepts no liability for the topicality, accuracy, completeness or quality of the content provided.
STAR COOPERATION GmbH shall not be liable for the uninterrupted availability of the webinars it offers. Liability claims vis-à-vis the organiser due to tangible and intangible losses caused by the use or non-use of the training or information provision on offer, or due to the use of defective or incomplete information by the participants, are categorically excluded.
In all other cases, STAR COOPERATION GmbH shall only be liable in the event of a breach of material contractual obligations (cardinal obligations). Any compensation shall be limited to typically foreseeable losses.
No liability shall be assumed for atypical or unforeseeable losses or for indirect, intangible or consequential losses.
11. Costs
In the main, the webinars are offered to you free of charge. Where a fee is charged for webinars, the fees payable are displayed prior to registration. The fees for chargeable webinars are stated as final prices per participant and are payable immediately on receipt of the invoice without deduction, i.e. registrations at short notice are not possible.
12. Use of event documents
All content, images, quotes, charts, documents provided for download or sent as hard copy and also the notes made in the course of the webinars are protected by copyright and are the property of STAR COOPERATION GmbH. The contracting partner is entitled to use the documentation provided for his or her own purposes. A more extensive usage right, in particular to publish, disseminate, forward to third parties, shall only be permitted subject to consultation with and approval by STAR COOPERATION GmbH.
13. Closing provisions
If a contract with an entrepreneur (Section 14 German Civil Code (BGB)) is entered into,
a) the place of jurisdiction is Stuttgart
b) the governing law is German law.
These terms and conditions of participation are subject to German law with the exclusion of the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Should part of this contract be or become invalid, this shall have no bearing on the remainder of the contract.
